PADELIMMO 2023

Padelimmo brings together commercial real estate leaders for a refreshing networking event!

On the 4th of May
Avenue - Real Estate and Redevco organized the second annual edition of Padelimmo. A sports-oriented networking event within the commercial real estate sector aimed at bringing together all the important players in the sector to meet and network in an informal setting.

“At Avenue, we don't settle for the traditional mix of networking and drinks”, says
Kenneth Verloo, co-founder of Avenue Real Estate, “We aim to create a unique experience that blends sports and philanthropy. That's why our events always incorporate a charitable or sports-related component. Whether it's our spring padel-event or our fall cycling challenge, we strive to bring together professionals in the industry for a memorable and impactful networking opportunity.”
Mark van Boven, development lead at McDonald's agrees ”Last year, I was unable to attend, however, the feedback from my colleagues who did participate was so overwhelmingly positive that I didn’t want to miss it this year. It's a refreshing change from the typical real estate events that can be dull and unengaging with presentations that do not appeal to everyone. This event, on the other hand, is different and unique as it incorporates networking from the start. It's a great setup.”

This network event also brought
Jonachim Goedgezelschap, a family real estate investor, to Pachanga Padel in Muizen: “We are tennis players who play padel once a year at the request of Avenue” he laughs.

The event is open to retailers, investors and even competitors, but since the number of fields is limited, each company can participate with a maximum of 2 teams. This year, the event is at full capacity with 64 participating teams of 2 players, and an additional 75 supporters.

"We begin at 1pm, with teams competing in a series of four matches. The top teams then advance to the finals, which typically ends around 9 or 10pm," explains
Benoît van Haare Heijmeijer, transaction manager at Redevco. "If we want to expand and include more professionals from the real estate industry, we'll need to double the number of playing fields to keep the schedule manageable. It's important to remember that people have work commitments. However," he adds, "I've heard of guests who closed deals in the parking lot, so it's not only a fun event but also a productive one."

The Avenue team congratulates
CBRE Belgium team Sébastien Vander Steene and Nicolas Remeysen with their well-deserved win!
